OhioLINK is pleased to announce the addition of the new Digital Video Collection to the Digital Media Center (DMC). This collection is available at http://dmc.ohiolink.edu/media/ffhLogin.
The Digital Video Collection currently contains 380+ videos which cover a wide variety of subjects. Approximately 800 unique titles were purchased from the distributor Films for the Humanities and Sciences. The remaining videos will be added in the coming weeks.
Records for the Digital Video Collection will be added to the OhioLINK Central Catalog and to your local library catalog. The Database Management and Standards Committee is investigating the procedures to accomplish this with proper cataloging.
The videos in this collection are available for viewing and downloading (for temporary storage only). Free software from RealNetworks is needed to view these videos. The current version of this software, called "RealOne Player," is available at http://www.real.com/.
