OhioLINK is pleased to announce the debut of its new Web site. The new site contains all the OhioLINK resources indexed in a variety of ways and allows individualization at the institutional and individual level.
Individual users can choose to set their own "Express Links" on their own workstations. The "Express Links" allow the user to have a personalized list of those OhioLINK resources he or she uses most. The "Express Links" may also include several databases selected by the user's home institution. Some users also will find that their institution has added its own local databases to the OhioLINK lists.
Beginning August 6, users of Periodical Abstracts, the Electronic Journal Center, and PsycINFO will find new "Ask Us" links in the databases. The "Ask Us" links improve users' access to their reference librarians. These links connect users to their home institution's reference contact information, which may include the reference desk phone number, an e-mail address, or a chat link.
The Digital Media Center's Social Sciences Database will also debut August 6. This database includes more than 300 images of major Mayan archeological sites photographed between 1970-2000. Professor Linda T. Grimm, Oberlin College, coordinated the project.
