Snapshot 2010 - OhioLINK's Annual Report Released
Find out how OhioLINK delivers cost-effective access to information resources, supports quality teaching and learning, and enables world-class research at Ohio colleges and universities in the newly released Snapshot 2010, OhioLINK's annual report.
Some highlights from this year's report include:
- OhioLINK's cost-efficiencies, including how the annual cost to licensed information continues to increase by an average of 7-10% annually, but OhioLINK cooperatively negotiated licenses have been able to substantially limit that growth;
- OhioLINK's patrons downloaded the full text of articles in our collection nearly 26 million times, a 10% increase over 2009, and borrowed 806,000 physical items;
- How OhioLINK enables the University System of Ohio and Ohio’s private colleges and research universities to maximize accessibility to higher education for all learners, including e-learners, working adults and traditional students. OhioLINK provides a robust, but not yet complete, array of necessary electronic library services and resources to support the full range of core curricular needs, from vocational programs to preparation for a four-year degree and beyond; and
- OhioLINK is guiding the Ohio Digital Bookshelf project to bring affordable high-quality textbook materials to Ohio's college students.
