FAQs: Where is that OhioLINK book?

You requested an OhioLINK book, video, or other library item, now what? How long will it take the book to arrive? How will you know when it's ready to be picked up?

If the items were available at a library when you requested them, they should be ready for pick up in 2-3 business days at the library you designated. You can check on the status of your requested items by viewing your personal library record/account in your library's catalog. Once you're logged in, go to the Requests (Holds) portion of your Library Record to follow the progress of your request:

  • After the request is initially placed, the Status will be REQUESTED
  • When the other library sends the item, the Status will be IN TRANSIT
  • When the item is received at its destination, the Status will be OHIOLINK REC'D.

Some OhioLINK libraries also send e-mail notices about OhioLINK requests. Contact your library for details or with questions.
