2006 Annual Report Available

Find out how OhioLINK is improving the quality of higher education for the 21st century in the newly released Snapshot 2006 (PDF), OhioLINK's annual report. The Snapshot details the continued growth in the use of OhioLINK resources and services in 2006.

A few highlights:

  • OhioLINK libraries delivered 756,000 library items to faculty, staff and students statewide (see p. 5)
  • Users conducted 27.8 million searches on OhioLINK's 146 research databases (see p. 8)
  • More than 15.7 million articles were downloaded in 2006, with more than 4.9 million articles downloaded from the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Centeralone
  • OhioLINK users downloaded more than 293,000 images, videos, maps and more from the OhioLINK Digital Media Center (see p. 14)

The Snapshot also includes stories from eight OhioLINK users which explain, in their own words, how OhioLINK: is a student's first step for research (p. 4), removes research limitations for students and faculty (p. 6), helps attract scholars to Ohio (p. 7), is relied upon by a professor to enhance the courses he teaches (p. 9), gives Ohio researchers a competitive edge (p. 10), is indispensable (p. 11), fosters scholarship (p. 12), and is relied upon by a student for everything related to school (p. 14).
