New Look for the DMC
In what single virtual space can you browse artworks by Kandinsky, Renoir and Warhol, test your language skills in Swahili, download Satellite images of Ohio and be soothed by the sounds of the nightingale wren? If you guessed the OhioLINK Digital Media Center, you get a gold star.
Now the virtual treasures housed in the Digital Media Center are more prominent thanks to a new interface. The new DMC design offers:
- A prominent area for featured collections, which allows us to highlight new additions and showcase current items
- One-click, front-page access to both individual collections and entire subject areas (i.e. Art & Architecture)
- A cleaner, updated look
Please update those bookmarks
Old bookmarks to Digital Media Center collections will be redirected to their new locations, however we encourage you to update those bookmarks to the new URLs. In addition, you can now link to a single collection. Want to point your class directly to the Reproductive Physiology Animations collection instead of the entire Science area? No problem.
You will also need to update your bookmarks to individual items from the old DMC (e.g. a bookmark to an individual artwork). Persistent URLs (those that begin with http://rave.ohiolink.edu) for videos in the Educational Films & Documentaries collection do not need to updated.
