Library Careers Night - You're Invited

Have you ever considered a library career? Are you currently in library school? Then Library Careers Night is for you!

Library Careers Night will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Dublin, Ohio. No reservations are required, and the event is free and open to the public.

Sponsored by Kent State University's School of Library and Information Science and OCLC, Library Careers Night will provide an opportunity for students, library and information specialists, and current library specialists to explore a wide array of career possibilities in this dynamic and growing field as well as offer professionals the opportunity to showcase their libraries and services to future and current librarians.

Over 30 exhibitors will be on hand, represented by professionals in academic, public, law, medical, historical and school librarianship, and experts from industry organizations including the Ohio Library Council, the Academic Library Association of Ohio, and the Ohio Educational Library Media Association. Be sure to stop by the OhioLINK display if you attend!

The event will begin at 5:30 pm with a panel discussion, moderated by Richard Rubin, director, Kent State School of Library and Information Science. Members of the panel will represent diverse areas of the information profession and will discuss current trends, career opportunities, and answer questions from the audience. Exhibits will be from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm in the Smith Building Conference Center on the OCLC campus, 6565 Kilgour Place, Dublin, OH 43017-3395.
