OhioLINK Snapshot 2005 Available

Find out how OhioLINK is connecting Ohio higher education to the world of information in the newly released Snapshot 2005, OhioLINK’s annual report. The Snapshot details the continued growth in the use of OhioLINK resources and services in 2005, for example:

  • There were 747,600 filled online borrowing requests (see p. 5)
  • Users conducted 26.8 million searches on OhioLINK’s research databases (see p. 8)
  • More than 12.9 million articles were downloaded in 2005, with more than 4.7 million articles downloaded from the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center alone (see p. 10-11)
  • OhioLINK users downloaded more than 284,000 images, videos, maps and more from the OhioLINK Digital Media Center (see p. 14)

The Snapshot also includes stories from nine OhioLINK users which explain, in their own words, how OhioLINK revolutionizes a private college library, succeeds where Google fails, is vital to regional campus professors and students, helps students save time and do research at home, helps undergrads succeed in college, makes a mathematician’s research life easier, attracts scholars to Ohio, enables an art professor to teach digitally and is relied upon by a physician for patient care decisions.

Read the OhioLINK Snapshot 2005 online now in PDF format or pick up a print copy from any OhioLINK member library. Other OhioLINK publications are also available online.
