Nineteen digital videos have been added to OhioLINK’s Digital Video Collection, bringing the total number of videos available to 1203. Recent additions to the collection include:
The Digital Video Collection, which launched in June 2003, currently contains videos purchased from the distributor Films for the Humanities and Sciences. The collection is available to all students, faculty members and staff at OhioLINK member institutions. The videos may be shown in class, linked to from course pages, and utilized for research.
This month, OhioLINK member institutions agreed collectively to purchase 550 additional videos from Films for the Humanities and Sciences and, a new supplier, Ambrose Video Publishing. The 550 videos will be added to the DVC over the summer and fall.
The videos are available for viewing and downloading (for temporary storage only). Free software from RealNetworks is needed to view these videos. The current version of this software, called "RealPlayer," is available. (Please note: A security vulnerability exists in all versions of RealPlayer prior to April 19, 2005. Please contact your local technical support for assistance in verifying your version and upgrading.)
