Help Save Your Library Resources - Contact Your Legislators Now!

The Ohio House of Representatives is wrapping up their budget deliberations. In April, the next biennium state operating budget will be debated by the Ohio Senate. This is a perfect time to contact your legislators and let them know why OhioLINK is important to you and why it must be adequately funded.

Why should you contact your legislators?
Some of the OhioLINK and library resources you currently use are being eliminated and others may no longer be available in the future. In addition, there will be no new funds to purchase new content OhioLINK users need and want to support their research. Visit the Support OhioLINK Web site for complete details on OhioLINK's funding shortfall.

What can you do to help?

  • Call, write, or e-mail your state legislators and express your support for OhioLINK.
  • Tell three friends or colleagues that OhioLINK needs their support.
  • Share your story and tell us why OhioLINK is important to you. Your story might be used in future promotional materials and/or on the OhioLINK Web site.
  • Post a Support OhioLINK banner on your Web site or blog that links back to this site to help spread the word.
  • Support your campus library's budget. Contact your library director to determine how you can help.
  • Keep us posted. Your help is very important and most appreciated. If you take any of the above actions, please send an e-mail to candi@ohiolink.edu and let us know.
