Did you know that some of the OhioLINK and library resources you currently use are being eliminated and others may no longer be available in the future?
State support of Ohio higher education will decline in the upcoming state capital budget and is unlikely to increase in the next operating budget. Consequently, OhioLINK is facing an anticipated annual shortfall of more than $500,000 to more than $1 million. However, the Ohio General Assembly will be considering future state budgets this winter and spring and your actions to support OhioLINK funding can have an impact on this process.
How can you help? First, visit the Support OhioLINK Web site to find out more about the problem and its impact. Then, call, write or e-mail your state legislators and tell them why a healthy OhioLINK budget is important to you. You can also tell your friends that OhioLINK needs their support, share why OhioLINK is important to you, or post a Support OhioLINK banner on your Web site or blog.
