Do you need help finding resources for a paper, completing a class assignment, or with another research project? OhioLINK's Chat with a Librarian service, provides real-time research assistance from professional academic librarians. Chat with a Librarian allows you to get help when you need it most, from home, the office, or on campus. The service is currently available: Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.; Friday, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Saturday, from 1-5 p.m.; and Sunday, from 1-10 p.m. Chat with a Librarian is available to all students, staff, faculty and researchers at OhioLINK member institutions.
If you need online research assistance when OhioLINK's Chat with a Librarian is closed, KnowItNow is available. KnowItNow provides online reference assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week to all Ohio citizens. Funding for KnowItNow is provided by the State Library of Ohio and a Library Services and Technology Act grant. Whenever OhioLINK's service is closed, you will be referred to KnowItNow.
When you follow the link to KnowItNow from the OhioLINK Chat with a Librarian page, you will be identified as an OhioLINK user, and the librarian assisting you will have access to most of OhioLINK's research resources.
