New additions to the OhioLINK Web site provide even more options for finding help online while you’re conducting research. The new tips section of the OhioLINK Web site provides quick tips and answers to common questions about OhioLINK resources for students, faculty and librarians.
Students can quickly learn how to select a topic for a paper, decide between databases and the Internet, borrow books and other materials using the OhioLINK Library Catalog, locate assigned articles, cite sources in a paper, and much more.
Faculty tips provide information on how to set up e-journal alerts via e-mail or RSS, build electronic course pages, access research databases from home, etc.
View the video tutorials for a guide to using the OhioLINK Library Catalog to borrow books and other library materials from 85 libraries statewide. The brief flash videos cover an introduction to the catalog and online borrowing and how to use different search options. Transcripts with screen shots are also provided.
For more in-depth questions, use Chat with a Librarian or contact your local library. Chat with a Librarian offers live, online assistance from a librarian at an OhioLINK member library.
