Appointed Eld. John Blodget, Moderator of the Meeting, and A.D. Freeman, Clerk, and T.P. Childs, Assistant Clerk.
Called for the reading of the Minutes of two preceding meetings; one held at Caesar's Creek, January 21, 1846, and the other held at Anderson's Fork, June 5th, 1846, for the purpose of consulting upon the propriety of forming a new Association. Minutes read and approved."--p. [1].
"Resolved, That it is the sense of this Association, that American Slavery is a moral evil, and that we, therefore, as Christians, are bound to discountenance it; and to use all prudent and lawful measures for its suppression."--p. 4.
